What is EN50155?

It is mainly used to ensure that these equipment can still maintain reliability and stability in harsh environments. This standard was developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and is equivalent to the IEC-60571 standard issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Scope and Purpose

The EN50155 standard applies to all control electronic equipment, regulating electronic equipment, protection electronic equipment and power supply electronic equipment installed on railway rolling stock. Its main purpose is to ensure that these equipment can work properly under extreme climatic conditions and mechanical stress and meet the safety and reliability requirements of railway transportation‌12.
